25. September 2009 arrival in:
BUENOS AIRES

2 years have passed since my last entry, now again a new continent, new country, new city - along with adventures and experiences, dealing with a completely different culture, different language, trying to organize and find my way around. The big difference to the past stays abroad - everything´s open - no plan what exactly to do, how long to stay - challenges all over, but for sure a great time ahead!

Marathon in Singapore - EATING Part II

(Part I you will find on http://emilyinsingapore.blogspot.com/ )

...and as the story of our eating marathon continues on my blog, let me elaborate more on this interesting topic...

so, as you already know, we finally went to Geylang today in the evening with our dear friends Xiao Yu and Maresa - so we met at the MRT station
and went to the first stop to eat some tasty and very crispy FROGs...mhhhh
well - that´s how a frog looks like after you have eaten him...
well then, time for our next station - hard to decide what we should eat now...
more, more, more... for some reason Xiao Yu just can´t stop eating... but it´s okay, don´t worry ;-)
and of course a nice desert is also a must - so we went to eat some healthy (!) soya dishes which Emily and me...enjoyed :-)

and in case we get hungry again when we are at home, we of course also have to do some food shopping at Carrefour
well, but that was just ONE day...it goes on - let me just give you a short overview...

Lunch at Brotzeit with Maresa and Xiao Yu

Dinner at a Chinese Place, again with the girls and also Gee and Markus joining us

Lunch at Suntec City, before going shopping with the girls

enough eating for now - tomorrow will change the topic and make the food marathon into a going out and party marathon since ladies night and the weekend is coming up...we will keep you updated!
Finally...Myanmar pictures!!!

It is almost one month ago since I went for a 2 weeks trip to Myanmar with Paul, so now it´s time to give you a small impression of the great time we had in this beautiful country where time seems to stand still and people overwhelm you with their friendliness.

3rd Australian Joy

After a long time not going out anymore, cause Emily and me were both ill, we had a great evening out yesterday with our friends Xiao Yu, Maresa and Nora (from Austria).
First, we went to our favorite Australian restaurant, where our friend already welcomed us with nice wine and the best desert. After that we headed to fashion bar at Clarke Quay and after that to MOS.
What a crazy fun night...

too bad it´s just a two seater...
Maresa and Xiao Yu - I´ll miss them!!!
the Hooter girls!
...well, as I said - we did indeed had lots of fun :-) as the picture(s) show...

So how are we spending our time here in Singapore at the moment...?

Well, first of all - alles im Zeichen von BROTZEIT six days per week - our new working place, the German Bier Bar and Restaurant in VivoCity. And if we are not working at the restaurant, we are for instance going out with our new collegues or having lunch at Brotzeit after a business meeting with our boss....

mhhhh good Beer, Weißwurst and Sauerkraut!

Since we are also working hard we of course also need to relax and shapen our bodies - fortunately we have a nice big swimming pool at our new apartment...so hard training everyday ;-)
picture of our new apartment, which we are sharing with a nice italian Architect...

our new street
here we went to the movies with Nora, a girl from Vienna working in Singapore at the Austrian embassy.

...einfach so immer spannender...
Good-Bye friends and apartment

Last wednesday we, once again, but however after a 4 weeks break, went to Dobble O.

It was Christophs last night in Singapore...

my two darlings :-)

...and also the last time Emily and me did a photoshooting in front of our apartment Kim Lim Mansion after going-out!

And today it was the big day - time to move out from our beloved apartment in Jalan Arnap Road 51E. But before that we yesterday, after packing our stuff the whole day, decided to have a last "pre-going out get together" with our friends and neighbours Leo and Basti.

an important moment :-) last picture in front of our red wall

my room almost empty already...2 of our "little" bags...
...and some more...
so after we had packed everything and put half of our stuff to Leo´s place to be stored there for some days, we got into two cabs to drive to our new home "The Plaza", where we just moved into a nice room in the 29th floor. The first days will share a room and by the weekend we will each move into our own room in the 30th floor.
So next update will be soon with some new pics of my room.
